| China Community Health Services Development Forum was held in Changsha from November 6 to 8. Jiang Zuojun, deputy secretary-general of the CPPCC and director of the Community Health Association of China (CHAC), Yang Qing, chief of the Department of Maternal and Child Health Care Baby Blanket and Community Health, and other related leaders from the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of the PRC participated in this forum. Hunan Provincial Vice Governor Gan Lin attended and addressed the forum. More than 800 representatives from 22 health administrative departments and community health services organizations at provincial and city levels across the country attended the forum. Focusing Throttle valve on the theme of “accelerating system development, improving service functions, promoting the public’s access to basic health services”, the forum made an in-depth exploration of the community health service development guided by the health system reform and several special reports. Director Jiang put forward three suggestions: first, to grasp the essence and goal of the reform of medical and health system; second, to strengthen management and make contributions to the public’s access to basic health services; third, to seize the opportunity to accelerate the development of public health. |
